If you watch the scene carefully you'll see that at first, as Arizona is introducing herself and asking the always uncomfortable if you're all puffy-eyed from crying so much "Are you okay?", Callie reacts just how anyone would, actually - in a shaky "I'm fine." - not.
Then, Arizona starts telling her that people [u]talk a lot[/u] at the hospital and Callie frowns her eyebrows as if saying "What are you talking about, stranger, weird babbling person that I don't even know and that for some reason is still talking to me - who she doesn't even know...?" But still, she smiles, merely to be polite.
Now, Arizona is clearly telling her that she knows she was with a woman and, worst, that everyone in the entire hospital knows! "Terrific..." Callie looks down, ashamed, millions of thoughts going through her head. She sits down, crossing her arms, as if creating some sort of barrier between them, mostly because it is a really awkward situation. Arizona keeps talking but if you notice, Callie's eyes are not following, she's wondering how many people know, how they came to know,...
When Arizona tells Callie that people like her, their eyes meet again. That's something Callie was needing to hear for a very long time. Now, people [b]really[/b] like her and Callie goes like "Yeah, right..." with her eyes (It's always her eyes. It's always her facial expressions. Or little gestures. She's sooo good! I loooove Sara Ramirez!!!). Now she is really sad and looks down for like half a second but, since Arizona keeps talking, she looks at her and listens.
By now, Callie is tired of all of this talk about her and how apparently people like her and why the hell is this nice girl still talking?..
Arizona leans over and gently kisses Callie on the lips. - What?!.. What do you think you're doing?..
Arizona tells her she [b]likes[/b] her. - What? You... I... What? Oh.. I'm liked! I can't believe it! Someone actually likes me! I'm back! - Huge smile.
Sara Ramirez, you are a rockstar! :D:D:D
A little obsessive, I know. But I can't help it. This scene is great that way.
Another one that I love, a little off topic, is thine in which Callie is telling Bailey Hahn asked her out and she can't stop doing that clicking sound with her pen. It's so real! So good! :D I love her :D:D:D
